Nakiri Knife Manufacturing Update

Nakiri Knife Manufacturing Update

Recently, we visited the workshop in Seki City, Gifu, again to check production in person, and I’m happy to share that your knives are progressing steadily and remain right on schedule!

Up in the mountains, the winter snow gathers quietly, storing clean water for the seasons ahead. That purity—and the steady water system around Seki—has long supported the workshops here, and the careful finishing that makes a blade feel clean and precise. Standing there, I couldn’t help but think: “May the snow keep falling.”

After checking the workshop closely, I can confirm that production is moving forward as planned. Even with Japan’s winter schedule and holidays, the craftsmen are working carefully on each piece with quiet focus and steady hands.

More knives have now reached the completed stage, and the remaining batches are progressing smoothly through the next steps.

Thank you again for your patience and continued support. We’re getting closer every day to delivering your knife to you.

Warm regards,
Shou
