Takahisa Hisada, the third-generation master of Keigama kiln—originally renowned for crafting bonsai pots for the Imperial Household—blends traditional Tokoname craftsmanship with modern dining, creating ceramics that honor history while fitting everyday life.

This plate, perfected over 10 years, uses oyster shells—a by-product of local seaweed farming—transforming regional waste into beauty through a sustainable approach.
