Tokoname ware features a chara-gake glaze that only partially melts, highlighting both the glaze and natural clay. Even the underside can be colored, giving each piece a unified look. Fired at around 1,100°C, Ban Series pieces gain subtle texture and color, adding quiet elegance to the table.

Made using the chara-gake glaze, where minerals like iron are carefully balanced, these plates are both elegant and durable. Unlike ordinary pottery, they resist scratches from metal cutlery, making them perfect for Japanese or Western meals. Chefs often say they are “very easy to use.”
